The Elections Committee is responsible for organizing, conducting and supervising all elections that are not spelled out in the bylaws, such as the election for President and contract ratification.
2026 Elections
AEA Members, nominations are currently being accepted for the following positions within AEA:
AEA Vice President of Communications (Term: July 2026-June 2029
AEA Secretary (Term: July 2026-June 2029)
AEA At-Large Director (4 vacancies: Term July 2026--June 2028)
NEA-Alaska Delegate Assembly Delegate (30 seats: Term April 2026--March 2029)
NEA Representative Assembly Delegate (17 seats: Term 2026)
AEA PACE Committee Member (12 Seats: Term July 2026--June 2027)
There are many opportunities to serve our union! Find out more about each position and submit your self-nomination using the Online Candidate Application Form by Thursday, March 5, 5:00 PM. Candidates will submit bios and photos that will be included on the ballot and distributed to members to review before the election.
Elections will occur on the online voting platform from March 23-27, 2026.
