We Demand Fairness and Transparency from ASD

The AEA Board submitted written testimony with supporting evidence to the ASD School Board on November 4th, calling out ASD’s unfair practice with 25.11.10 Bargaining Update health benefit subsidies. ASD may have withheld our testimony from the public record, but they can not silence our message. Every AEA member deserves to know what we said and the stand we’re taking for fairness and respect.

“ASD is already contributing well above the negotiated rates. Therefore, certificated educators should receive the same health benefit contribution as other ASD staff, ensuring fairness, consistency, and equity across all employee groups.”

Transparency, fairness, and equity are non-negotiable and we, the union, must stand strong and speak up. If this frustrates you as much as it does the AEA Board and Bargaining Team… don’t stay silent!

Let the ASD School Board and Dr. Bryantt know exactly how this unfair practice has impacted your paycheck and your livelihood. They have the power to fix this, to treat AEA educators with the same fairness and respect they extend to TOTEM, ACE, Food Services, and their exempt staff.

“Today, your certificated educators are facing intense financial strain . To uphold fairness and consistency across all employee groups, ASD must extend the same $2,167 monthly health benefit contribution to its educators. Continuing the current practice erodes trust and undermines the value of negotiated agreements.”
