Sick Leave Bank Committee
The Sick Leave Bank committee is composed of six members, five appointed by the Association and one appointed by the District.
The primary purpose of the committee is to review sick leave bank member requests for days to cover their personal illness/injury that exceeds their personal sick leave day accumulation.
In the event a member of the bank has exhausted all personal, sick and sick leave bank days, there is a provision to apply for catastrophic leave days from the bank.
Finally, if a member has exhausted all the leave days granted above, the Bank may authorize the AEA President to request donated leave days from members of AEA for a specific individual who has a life-threatening/career ending situation.
