AEA Scholarships
The Anchorage Education Association is happy to share information about 2009 student scholarships for eligible ASD students pursuing education in the fields of music, communications and education.
Information and application forms will be sent to High School Career Centers during the week of February 2, 2009. Please see your Career Resource Center for more information. You may contact the AEA office at 263-8538 for more information.
Deadline for applications for all scholarships is Friday, April 10, 2009 at 5:00 PM.
Daniel Epps Memorial Scholarship - $2500
This is for a Senior who is planning a career in music, with special consideration to, but not limited to, students preparing for the teaching of music.

The Pearl Shockley Scholarship - $2500
This is for a Senior who is intending to prepare for a career in some phase of communication, e.g., public speaking, journalism, fictional or non-fiction writing, television, radio, public relations, advertising.

The Selma Weise Scholarship - $2500
This is for a Senior who is planning a career in Education, with special consideration to, but not limited to, students preparing for the teaching of elementary grades or special education, or elementary school counseling.
