NEA
As a member of AEA, you are part of the National Education Association (NEA, or NEA National), the largest association of teachers and education support professionals in the country. Their website has a wide range of information and resources.
NEA-Alaska
AEA is part of NEA-Alaska, a collection of more than 50 local EA's around the state, from Ketchikan to Barrow to the Lower Y-K Delta. See their website for information on what is happening around the State, and what resources they provide to members.
NEA-Alaska Health Plan
The NEA-Alaska Health Plan is administered by a separate organization as a trust for NEA-Alaska. It means that members are represented by trustees who are also NEA-Alaska members and this gives all NEA-Alaska members a voice in determining their health care benefits. You'll find that the Plan has delivered solid benefits at a reasonable price. Their site gives you lots of details.

If you haven't contacted your state representatives before, it's pretty easy and we encourage you to do so.
